Commercial VERSUS Consumer types of display screens
There actually is a difference between commercial and consumer types of display screens.

Consumer lines (the models you'll find at Costco and on the other retail shelves) are only designed to run 4-6 hours per day.

Commercial lines (generally a bit more $) are designed for hospitality, board rooms and digital signage.
-designed to run more than 6 hours continuous.
-more fans with increased ventilation on the units.
-engineered to handle high stress environments.
-has button lock out and other public display type features.

Plasma screens are best if they can have 3 hours cool down each day, LCD's can run 24 hours but their price tag over the 42" size goes up significantly. Thankfully they are coming down quickly.
